COLD CASE – EARL “JAY” WOLFE – 17-YEAR-OLD HOMICIDE – NORTH UNION TOWNSHIP – FAYETTE COUNTY MAY 19, 2020 TABS Case(active tab) Location Pennsylvania State Police Troop B – Uniontown responded on February 3, 1973, for a homicide investigation in North Union Township, Fayette County. Earl “Jay” WOLFE, 17-year-old W/N Male, went to check a vehicle that was loitering in the parking lot of his father’s lumber yard. They engaged in a brief chase. Wolfe was later discovered dead within his vehicle. He had been shot 3 times in the head along a secluded stretch of Bennington Road about 2 miles from his home. Several avenues were explored during this investigation with several possible suspects developed, however, because of lack of evidence; the case could not be pursued any further.
